Instructions For Heat Press

MATERIALS

100% cotton, 100% polyester, cotton/poly blends.  Also great on canvas and denim fabrics.

INSTRUCTIONS

For 100% Cotton, Canvas, Denim : Press at 350° F – High Pressure
For Cotton/Poly blends : Press at 320° F – High Pressure
For 100% Polyester : Press at 285° F – High Pressure

1st press: 15 – 25 seconds
2nd press: 7 – 15 seconds

How to use with Heat Press Using an iron:

  1. Heat your press to 350 Set timer to 15 secs. (For 100% cotton, the setting temperature varies depending on the type of fabric. Please refer to the instructions above.)
  2. Pre-press garment for 5 seconds to remove any moisture and wrinkles.
  3. Place the transfer face down on the garment, making sure it’s centered and aligned.
  4. Cover film with Teflon sheet or parchment paper. Press for 15 sec, firm pressure. (1st press) * Never heat press directly on the Transfer.
  5. Allow the transfer to cool down completely before peeling off the backing paper. If you notice that it is not sticking, do not peel it and apply the iron pressing process once again.
  6. Cover with Teflon or parchment, re-press for 10 seconds. (2nd press)
  7. Wait 24 hours before washing.

How to use with Home Iron Using an iron:

  1. Set your iron to the highest cotton setting without steam. (For 100% cotton, the setting temperature varies depending on the type of fabric. Please refer to the instructions above.)
  2. Pre-press garment for 5 seconds to remove any moisture and wrinkles.
  3. Place the transfer face down on the garment, making sure it’s centered and aligned.
  4. Cover film with Teflon sheet or parchment paper. Apply firm and even pressure while moving the iron in a circular motion for about 20-30 seconds. (1st press) * Never heat press directly on the Transfer.
  5. Allow the transfer to cool down completely before peeling off the backing paper. If you notice that it is not sticking, do not peel it and apply the iron pressing process once again.
  6. Cover with Teflon or parchment, re-press for 10 seconds. (2nd press)
  7. Wait 24 hours before washing.

Home Iron Temperature Settings:

  • Cotton 380-400°F / Polyester 275-298°F
  • Low Temperature: This setting is usually 230 degrees F or lower. You can set the dial to 1. You can iron fabrics such as acetate, lycra, nylon, etc.
  • Medium Temperature: Temperature ranges from 230 degrees F to 300 degrees F. Set the dial to 2 or 3. This setting is appropriate for ironing acrylic, lace, polyester, silk, and wool.
  • High Temperature: This setting sets the temperature at 300 degrees or more. Setting the dial to 4 or above (if available) sets the highest temperature. This temperature is perfect for cotton, denim, linen, rayon/viscose
